The Honorable Judge Warren Chan

Around 200 people celebrated the life of Honorable Judge Warren Chan at the Brockey Center, South Seattle College, on July 3, 2015. He died on June 15 at the age of 92. Judge Chan lead a distinguished career and was truly a pioneer. Judge Chan was the first Chinese graduate of the University of Washington Law School and the first Asian on the King County Superior Court.  He was instrumental in founding the Wing Luke Museum and the Seattle Chinese Garden.  Judge Chan and his wife Nobie Chan supported the Garden's education center, which is named after them.

The family requested that in lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Judge Chan be made to the Seattle Chinese Garden, www.seattlechinesegarden.org.  After the memorial service, many guests visited the garden in honor of Judge Chan.
